My name is Sinead Gormley, also known as Sinead Jackson, due to getting married many years ago.

I work, live and paint in the North of Ireland, splitting my time between Derry and Donegal with my husband and two children. Art has always been a huge part of my life from a very young age as I come from a very creative family.

Whilst I did art at school and loved it. I consider myself a self taught artist. Like most artists my early years were spent drawing and, as much as possible, perfecting it before moving on to painting. I have been painting for a long time now, dabbling in different methods and techniques, my fingers being a favourite.

My subjects have varied over time but I’ve found a special love for painting faces of people and the occasional cat or dog.

I’ve been involved in many shared exhibitions but in 2018 I took the jump and had my first solo exhibition which thankfully was a very gratifying and successful venture, one I aim to repeat some day.

I hope you enjoy some of my art displayed here on my site as much as I’ve enjoyed creating them.
